The Neuro Challenge First Thursday Parkinson Cafe in Bradenton serves social, cultural and intellectual interaction for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners.

People living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners are welcome to attend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first Thursday of each month October through April (except for December) at the River Club Caddyshak at 6600 River Club Blvd. in Bradenton in the large meeting room.

10.15 a.m. Getting to Know You

10.45 a.m. Morning speaker: Ageless Grace Rose McCann, LMT, Reiki Master and lifetime student of the Mind, Body Spirit connection will demonstrate some of the 21 simple tools for lifetime comfort and ease.
11.30 a.m. Movement with Rose

Noon Buffet Lunch ($10+tax+tip)
12.30 p.m. Singalong with Brad on piano

1 p.m. Afternoon speaker: Jennifer Williams, Care Advisor, NeuroChallenge Foundation, will share tips for living well with PD, as well as tell us about NeuroChallenge’s wonderful local programs for people living with PD.

In collaboration with Arts for Health Sarasota-Manatee, the Parkinson Cafe features several creative arts workshops integrating expressive, visual, dramatic and other arts to enhance our emotional health.

Lynn created the Parkinson Cafe in 2009 to provide social, cultural and intellectual interaction for people with Parkinson's disease and their care partners. She obtained the Federal Trademark in 2013. The monthly events, which run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from October through April, are designed to enhance quality of life.
