The Neuro Challenge First Thursday Parkinson Cafe in Bradenton serves social, cultural and intellectual interaction for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners.

People living with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners are welcome to attend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first Thursday of each month October through April at the River Club Caddyshak at 6600 River Club Blvd. in Bradenton in the large meeting room.

10.15 a.m. Getting to Know You

10.45 a.m. Morning facilitator: Linda Odom, MoDo Creative Workshops, inspires and encourages others to enhance their wellness, healing, peace, and change by experiencing expressive arts.

11.30 a.m. Ageless Grace with Rose

Noon Buffet Lunch ($10+tax+tip)

12.30 p.m. Singalong with Brad on piano

1 p.m. Afternoon facilitator: Dr. Heather Herrema specializes in Neurology, treating patients with movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease. She practices in St. Petersburg, FL.

In collaboration with Arts for Health Sarasota-Manatee, the Parkinson Cafe features several creative arts workshops integrating expressive, visual, dramatic and other arts to enhance our emotional health.

She obtained the Federal Trademark in 2013. The monthly events, which run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from October through April, are designed to enhance quality of life.
