SoloSynergy – An Intergenerational Program

The team is facilitating an intergenerational program with Carrie Mill’s VPA students at Booker Middle and older adults.

They need your help in voting for this pilot program that is an inter-generational education outreach program called “SoloSynergy” that gives 2 groups a larger voice in the world. Middle school children and adults aged 60+ often feel lonely and lost. SoloSynergy brings these groups together to share their stories, mentor each other and build positive outlooks and relationships.

The team recently applied for a grant through Gen2Gen… a prominent national organization with a goal of mobilizing 1 million adults 50+ to stand up for – and with – young people today. By bringing the generations together, Gen2Gen works to realize the potential of longer lives, the potential of every child, and the power of older and younger generations working side by side for a change.  https://generationtogeneration.org/about-us/

Every year Gen2Gen offers an Encore Prize with a $50,000 grant for the winner.  We need you to vote every day. The organization with the most votes becomes a finalist with an opportunity to win the $50,000 grant.

This year SoloSynergy has the honor of being selected as one of 25 national semi-finalists vying for the prestigious Gen2Gen “Encore Prize.”

Can you take a few moments to just click on the link below and vote for SoloSynergy?  That’s it. You can vote once a day until Sept 25th. The more times you vote helps us. Easy for you and so vital for our program.
