Mural collaboration with AFHS-M, Inc. & Health Department of Manatee County

Lisa Richardson and Marcia Calderone made the mural. The mural features the word ‘Welcome’ in eighteen different languages.  BRADENTON — A new mural will be unveiled Tuesday at the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County. The art will be located in the immunization area of the building. The goal of the art mural is to make community residents entering the immunization area feel that their journey is beginning with the new uplifting and welcoming art work.

“This project is an example of great community collaboration for which we will be eternally grateful,” said Dr. Edwin Hernandez with the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County. “This project would not have been made possible without great ideas and creativity.”

The mural was designed by Arts For Health Sarasota-Manatee, Inc., a volunteer organization that promotes the importance of integration of arts and health.

The Manatee Department of Health building is located at 410 6th Avenue East in Bradenton.
